NAME: Amariss
AGE: Ageless, but appears to be in her early 20s

BACKGROUND: An ancient demon, born when the world was forged by a capricious Creator to serve as an antagonist in his little game of good vs evil. Amariss has served the Unspoken One, the king of the abyss, for countless millennia, fighting the forces of "good" in his name. Recently (as in, fifty years ago), however, she angered him by daring to question, and her punishment was being sent to Earth to live as a mortal for a century, eking out whatever kind of life she can.
PERSONALITY: In a word, tired. For the first forty years or so, she was pissed off, lashing out at anyone she could and generally acting like a fucking demon, but over the last ten years, she's begun to mellow out as melancholy sets in. She can't go back to the abyss for another half a century, and she's not even sure she wants to go back, not after she was banished for such a bullshit reason. Living as a mortal sucks: she hates having to constantly eat, sleeping is a waste of time, being too cold or too hot feels like crap, and pretending to be polite to a bunch of insipid apes because their society demands it will always leave her feeling grumpy.
Sex is nice, though. And alcohol. They're even better together, too. Actually forming relationships with humans is beyond her, she has given it a halfhearted try before on a few occasions, but it's never worked, and she frankly doesn't care enough to try again. At most, she tolerates the people she's forced to work beside in order to get money so she can have an apartment so she won't fucking die and have to restart in a new body, something that has happened twice before and fucking sucked every time. She likes this one, it's got some nice curves and looks decent... for a walking meat sack.
